Meet Andrea Young

Founder, Licensed Educational Psychologist LEP#4795

Hello and welcome! I’m Andrea Young, a Licensed Educational Psychologist dedicated to helping students, young adults, and families better understand how people learn, think, and grow.

My work focuses on comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations that help identify an individual’s strengths, learning style, and areas where additional support may be helpful. Evaluations can feel overwhelming, so my goal is to make the process thoughtful, supportive, and easy to understand. I want clients and families to leave with clear answers and practical recommendations that support success in school, college, and beyond.

I have spent my career working within public school systems, including Boston Public Schools, Palo Alto Unified School District, and Monterey Peninsula Unified School District. In these roles, I have conducted cognitive, academic, and social-emotional assessments while collaborating closely with parents, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to determine appropriate educational supports for students.

Throughout my work, I have supported students and young adults with a wide range of learning and attention-related needs, including ADHD, learning differences, autism spectrum disorders, and social-emotional concerns. My background also includes experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), behavior support, counseling, and school-wide intervention frameworks such as MTSS and PBIS.

In addition to my clinical work, I have had the privilege of mentoring graduate students in school psychology through California State University, Monterey Bay, supporting the next generation of school psychologists as they develop their assessment and consultation skills.

I earned my Master of Education and Education Specialist degrees in School Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Boston. I am a Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP) in California and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP).

At the heart of my work is a simple goal: helping individuals and families gain a deeper understanding of how they learn, and providing practical, individualized recommendations that support success in school, college, and beyond.

I look forward to supporting your journey,

Andrea Young, Licensed Educational Psychologist #4795
